Educational Services

Liahona Services offers a unique range of educational services to prepare high school juniors and seniors for a successful future in the trades.

Our mission is to provide students with hands-on construction experience in all trades while still enrolled in high school. This provides an alternative career path to students and prepares the trades for the future.

Student Workmanship Courses

Our workmanship courses provide high school students with paid on-the-job training in partnership with local school districts and General Contractors. Students get hands-on experience in a variety of trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and more. Our courses are taught on professional job sites under the supervision of our highly-trained instructors, all of whom have years of industry experience. We maintain the highest safety standards, ensuring students learn in a secure environment. The skills students gain through real-world application give them a head start on beginning a career right after high school. Our organization partners closely with school districts to identify students who will thrive in our hands-on learning model. Districts may offer credit for completion of our courses. With an emphasis on developing professional workmanship qualities like timeliness, organization, craftsmanship, and teamwork, our courses prepare students for success in whatever career path they pursue. Students graduate our program ready to contribute on day one of a job, apprenticeship, or technical degree program.

Career Counseling

We are passionate about helping students discover and develop their innate strengths and talents. Our role is to guide students through the process of self-discovery, assisting them in identifying their skills, interests, values and personality traits. We collaborate with students to map out customized career paths aligned with their unique strengths and future career selection. Our goal is to empower students to make informed decisions about their futures, pursuing majors and careers that allow them to apply their strengths in environments where they can thrive. Through coaching conversations, self-assessments, job shadowing, we support students in exploring their strengths and interests hands-on. By fostering self-awareness and purpose, we aim to set students up for success - in both their academic studies and future careers.

Liahona is committed to student success even after program completion. We maintain strong relationships with reputable contractors to recommend promising students for trade employment and apprenticeships. For those pursuing higher education, we partner with quality trade schools and technical colleges to help students continue advancing their skills.
